Home Economics

Home Economics is now well and truly established as a Key subject on the College curriculum. Since the introduction of the subject the department has expanded rapidly with the opening of a state of the art purpose designed 2-room Home Economics suite.

Within the department there is keen interest among the pupils and a distinct buzz of excitement is evident. Pupils are encouraged to enter cookery competitions at both regional and national level – some very significant successes have resulted!

At Key Stage 3 Home Economics is a compulsory subject. The boys have the opportunity to study Home Economics comprising three main strands: Healthy Eating , Home and Family Life and Independent Living.
